Welcome to the blog of a certified momster who has raised 2 boys, now 20 and 18 all moved out and on their own. Currently raising a 6, 7, and 9 year old, a husband, a German Shepard, and our latest addition, a Pug. All while surviving on large amounts of caffeine in the mornings, and whatever the mind, body, and soul needs the rest of the day.

I am a full time SAHM whose days are filled with …..well read my blog and find out.  I blog about whatever comes to mind which includes motherhood, marriage, and the pursuit of not ending up in a straight jacket.  (feel free to click on any of those…they are good reads and if you like any of them by all means share…share…share!)

But regardless of how much I rant and poke at my life the truth is I know how truly lucky I am to have the life that I do.  I have a hard working husband that provides very well for his family and because of this I get the privilege of raising all these little assholes all this wonderful offspring of ours.   And even on the bad days it’s still the most rewarding experience I have ever had.  The littles.. think I hang the moon…and I love that.

10 Little Facts About Me…

1.  I am an aries…this means there is no winning an argument with me.   I am hard headed, opinionated, and highly emotional.

2.  I was pregnant or nursing from May 2009 – Sept 2012…consistently…I can also benchpress a small pick-up.

3.  I LOVE the “Denver Broncos“.  Like obsessed to the point I will delete people from my Facebook who try to intimidate me about them.  Thankfully I married a Broncos fan and we are raising 5 more Broncos fans.

4.  I prefer salt over sugar.

5.  I used to be the lead singer in a punk rock band in my early 30’s.

6.  I grew up in a very small town, moved to the big city, and now am raising my kids in an even smaller town than what I grew up in.

7.  I don’t own a purse that cost over $100 nor am I much of a fashionista…I like simple…jeans and a t-shirt.  Sometimes even more simple…along the lines of thinking that putting yoga pants on is getting dressed.

8.  I wear minimal make-up.  No foundation… only bare minerals powder, a little mascara and a light lip gloss.  I truly believe that less is more.

9.  I am not a morning person…it takes a large dose of caffeine to get my ass moving.  If I didn’t think I would give myself a heart attack…I would pour my 5 hr energy into my coffee.

10. I am a huge fan of “No Doubt“…have been for about 25+ years now.

  1. Hey I was sorting through the posts on Blogging 101 and found your blog. It’s great! I’m a stay at home mom as well although I just have one little girl as of right now, Thea is only just about 7 months and I think I’m a mammarazzi as well lol or at least becoming one! Looking forward to following your blog 🙂

  3. I love this!! I had four kids in five years! We are both crazy!!! I am also an at home mother – I agree, I will sacrifice to stay home with them – we’ve only got one shot at this whole parenting business!! I found your blog through Mom of 1 & 10 and so happy that I did!! 🙂

  4. I must add my thoughts along with the others here about how happy I am to have found your straight-forward, cleverly written blog! You remind me of one of my daughters who is also very straight-forward and so funny, even though she doesn’t try to be. I read two of your articles and now, for the life of me, can’t remember the names! One was about your son starting to drive and the other one was your latest post I think. You definitely have a wonderful way of writing that is interesting, humorous and to the point. I had five kids, like steps on a ladder also, and loved every minute of being a stay at home mom. Now, dedicating one of my blog sites, I have three, to grandmothering. *Best kept secret, it doesn’t end with mothering. If all women knew this, it would be a solution to over-population! j/k
Anyway, I am following your blog now. It’s going to be a refreshing break in my day to read your shenanigans. 🙂

      1. Of course you can’t hurry that stage as you are still immersed in parenting. I think you’re doing a great job and really are on the ball! Enjoy every minute, we never know what lies around the bend. I don’t mean to sound negative or cause fear about the future but it’s the best time of life, when they are all their in your home, under one roof. 🙂

  5. Your blog is awesome, very well written and since am not a parent, keep me glue to keep on reading. Make me think what kind of parent/father I would be if I ever cross that bridge. Right now am know as the scary uncle who get mad if they(kids) don’t behave or do what they are told.

    1. I was always the aunt…and they listened better!!! Maybe because I could be a constant form of fun and not much of a disciplinary as I do being a parent. Thanks for taking the time to read and comment…truly appreciate it :))

    1. It’s so funny because every morning when I drop my kids off at preschool I have usually just rolled out of bed…so not a morning person…anyway…when I was out the other night (hair done, make-up on, nice jeans and shirt) I ran into the preschool owner and when I first said hello she looked at me funny and then suddenly she realized who I was and says, “Oh my gosh! You look so pretty!” I just laughed.

    1. Thank you. I haven’t blogged in quite awhile but haven’t given up on it either. The best tip I can give you is make sure you have the time to invest into it. Blogging is a lot more than just putting words out to the World Wide Web. In order for it to be successful you must work on it every free moment you have. Good luck to you!
